  • One of the largest privatly owned estetes in Norway Fluefiske
  • Four different water systems, from lowlands to mountain areas
  • Low strain on the resources
  • Comfortable cabins without neighbours

Large areas of wild, unpolluted nature where the air is fresh, and where you can drink the water you fish in. You can often walk for days without meeting other people. During summertime, it never gets dark.

The nature of south-Helgeland in Norway is very special, with mountains plunging straight into the fjords, and with a wide range of different species of birds and mammals. We also have a strong population of moose. There are no venomous snakes or other dangerous animals in this part of Norway.

It is important to understand that we do not run a hotel, neither do we run a large "camping-spot". At our place you will receive a key to the cabin located in the area you have chosen, and will then be free to do what you feel like during your stay. We will of cause be more than glad to give help and advice, and can also supply guides to show you the area, Fishing techniques etc. If you prefer to have the beds made in the morning and all meals served, we can also provide this.

Our Water systems:

SagmestereidetThe Eide water system  is about  25 km long and about 100 Km2. The anadromous part is about 14 km long and holds sea trout, wild salmon and some anadromous arctic char. The water system consists of several large lakes connected with smaller rivers. At the lower end, next to the outlet river, lies Sagmestereidet, about 4 km further up, beside the next river in the water system, lies Øvereidet. In the inner part of the water system you will find the cabins Kalbekkvika and Sørengvatn. The two lower cabins are mainly used for sea-trout/ salmon fishing. The two upper is mainly used for trout fishing in the lowlands and in the mountains, but it is possible to fish for all species from all of these four cabins.

The Urvold water system: The water system is about 15 km long and about 60 km2 The anadromous part is about 3 km, with sea trout, wild salmon and anadromous arctic char. A large part of the river bed is limestone, making the water extremely clear. The anadromous part of the water system consists of a short river, a 2 km long lake and the 1 km long upper river. The lake is considered to be the best sea trout lakes in the region. Most fish is caught in the lake. The fishing in the upper river is fun, but challenging due to the clear water. At the lower end, next to the fjord, lies Ureidet, a simple cabin for up to 4 people. At the upper end, next to the inlet river, lies the cabin Urvold. The cabins lies about 3 km apart. There are no other cabins in the area.

The Åbjøra water system: in total about 60 km long and more than 600 km2. About 450 km2 is on our estate. The anadromous part is about 25km with wild salmon and sea trout. The lower part is owned by several smaller estates. At Åbjørvatnet lies Granbostad. By crossing the 4 km long lake, you reach Åbjørneset and Åbjørstua.  The cabins Kalvkru and Kalvvatn are located even further up the water system. To reach these cabins, it is best to use a dirt road that leads to the inermost part of the watersystem. A salmon ladder was built in 2001, making the lower 7 km of the river upstream of Åbjørvatn available for sea trout and salmon. It is also possible to fish for trout in several good mountain lakes. In the innermost part of the watersystem there is a water reservoir for a hydroelectric plant (at Kalvvatn). Below the dam, the water system is untouched wilderness.

Terråk water system: In total about 20 km long and 80 km2. The anadromous part is about 1 km long with sea trout and wild salmon. The water system consists of av good mixture of river, small and medium size lakes. The cabin Fugleburet lies ideally situated for trout fishing, but it is also possible to walk downstream for sea trout/salmon fishing. The anadromous fishing is more dependent on percipitation than in Eide/Urvold/Åbjøra.
